CLOTHING CARE
1. OBJECT AND SCOPE OF THIS GUIDE
This garment care guide is intended to guide the user on the proper use, preservation and maintenance of the items purchased through the website www.twocrush.com (hereinafter, the “Website”).
At TWOCRUSH, we work with pre-loved and vintage garments and accessories, many of them made from fine and delicate materials. Proper care is essential to preserve their condition, extend their lifespan, and respect the value of the textile heritage they represent.
The recommendations contained here are of a general nature and do not replace, under any circumstances, the specific instructions that may appear on the original labels of each garment or the instructions of a specialized professional.
2. NATURE OF TWOCRUSH GARMENTS
The parts available at TWOCRUSH may have particular characteristics derived from:
Its age or vintage origin.
The type of fabric (wool, cashmere, silk, linen, cotton, leather, blends, etc.).
Its artisanal or haute couture production.
The prior use and the selection, review and conditioning process carried out by our team.
As part of our curatorial process and, where applicable, our care and restoration procedures, we review the overall condition of the garments, respecting their original integrity and avoiding any interventions that alter their nature. However, the user is responsible for following usage and maintenance guidelines appropriate to the type of piece purchased.
3. GENERAL CARE RECOMMENDATIONS
In general, we recommend the user:
Always read the instructions on the original garment label, when available and legible.
Avoid unnecessary frequent washing, especially of wool, cashmere, silk, or structured fabrics. In many cases, simply airing the garment after use is sufficient.
Do not expose the garments to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, intense heat sources, or very humid environments.
Avoid contact with perfumes, deodorants, cosmetics or chemicals that may stain, discolor or damage fabrics.
Always test any treatment or cleaning product on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface.
Consult qualified professionals when dealing with sensitive materials (silk, cashmere, leather, embroidery, lace, delicate linings, etc.).
Careful and reasonable use by the user is essential to keep the garment in good condition over time.
4. CARE ACCORDING TO TYPE OF MATERIAL
4.1. Wool and cashmere
Wool garments, and especially those made of cashmere and other fine fibers, require very delicate treatment:
Avoid machine washing, unless the garment and program are specifically indicated for it.
If washing at home, do it by hand, in cold water and with mild detergents specifically for wool or delicate garments.
Do not wring or rub the garment; remove excess water by gently pressing with a towel.
Dry horizontally, on a flat surface, away from direct heat sources, to avoid deformation.
Store clothes folded, not hung, to prevent them from stretching at the shoulders or length.
4.2. Silk and delicate fabrics
In garments made of silk, satin, lace, organza and similar fabrics:
Avoid aggressive washing; professional dry cleaning is the preferred option, unless otherwise expressly indicated on the label.
Protect garments from continuous rubbing against bags, belts, or other accessories that may cause snags.
Do not spray perfumes directly on silk or iron at high temperatures.
4.3. Cotton and linen
In cotton and linen garments:
Always follow the label instructions regarding maximum washing temperature.
Avoid the continued use of bleaches that may weaken the fiber.
Hang or dry respecting the shape of the garment, avoiding clips or tension that may deform collars, cuffs or seams.
Linen may naturally wrinkle; iron inside out or with a protective cloth if a more polished finish is desired.
4.4. Leather, suede and hide
Garments and accessories made of leather, suede, or suede are especially delicate:
Do not machine wash or submerge in water.
Avoid prolonged exposure to rain or extreme humidity.
Always dry naturally, away from radiators or other sources of direct heat.
Use only products specifically designed for cleaning and nourishing leather or suede, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Store clothes hanging on suitable hangers, preferably wide and sturdy, and bags in an upright position, stuffed if necessary to maintain their shape.
4.5. Synthetic mixtures and other materials
In garments that combine natural and synthetic fibers, as well as in technical fabrics:
Follow the instructions on the original label, as the fiber blend may require specific care.
Avoid ironing at temperatures higher than recommended, as some synthetic fibers may become deformed or lose their finish.
5. PROFESSIONAL CLEANING AND RESPONSIBILITY
In many cases, especially for high-value, vintage, or delicate garments, the best option is to use a professional dry cleaner or cleaning service with experience in these types of items.
It is the user's responsibility to:
Choose a trustworthy establishment and, if possible, provide information about the age, material, and characteristics of the garment.
Inform the professional about the existence of embellishments, appliqués, embroidery, special linings or other elements that may be damaged during cleaning.
TWOCRUSH is not responsible for damages resulting from cleaning processes external to the Website, nor for the results of treatments carried out by third parties that have not been supervised by our team.
