Size guide

SIZE GUIDE

  1. OBJECT AND SCOPE OF THIS GUIDE

This Size Guide is intended to help the user choose the most suitable size when purchasing clothing and accessories through the website www.twocrush.com (hereinafter, the “Website”).

Since at TWOCRUSH we work with pre-loved and vintage garments from different brands, eras and origins, sizing can vary significantly from one garment to another, even when the size indicated by the manufacturer seems to match.

For this reason, the size information we provide is for guidance purposes only and is based on the actual measurements taken on each garment individually, as well as our team's experience with fitting these types of pieces.

  1. SIZING CHARACTERISTICS IN PRE-LOVED AND VINTAGE GARMENTS

The user should keep in mind that:

  • The size indicated on the original garment label corresponds to the sizing criteria and system of the brand of origin and the time of manufacture.

  • Vintage garments tend to run smaller than current standards, especially in the shoulders, chest, and waist.

  • There can be noticeable differences in fit between European brands, such as Italian, French, British, and American brands, even when the numerical size is equivalent.

  • In tailored garments, haute couture, or pieces made with highly structured patterns, the feeling of fit can be more fitted than in contemporary garments with a loose cut.

Therefore, at TWOCRUSH we prioritize measurements in centimeters and our internal fitting recommendations over the mere label size.

  1. HOW WE MEASURE CLOTHES AT TWOCRUSH

All garments are measured manually by the TWOCRUSH team, laid flat on a surface without forcing or stretching the fabric. Unless otherwise stated, measurements are expressed in centimeters (cm) and are taken as follows:

3.1. Tops (shirts, blouses, jumpers, jackets, blazers)

  • Shoulders: distance from seam to seam, from shoulder to shoulder.

  • Chest: measured from armpit to armpit, taken at the widest part of the chest.

  • Sleeve length: from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.

  • Total length: from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom of the garment.

3.2. Trousers and skirts

  • Waist: measured from side to side at the top (if circumference is indicated, this measurement is multiplied by two).

  • Hip: measured from side to side at the widest part of the hip (also multiplied by two in the case of circumference).

  • Front rise: from the top of the front waistband to the crotch seam.

  • Total length: from the waist to the bottom of the garment.

3.3. Dresses

  • Chest, waist and hips: following the same methodology described for tops and pants, at the key points of the garment.

  • Total length: from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom of the dress.

3.4. Footwear

  • Size: the one indicated by the manufacturer on the sole or inside of the shoe (usually in EU system).

  • Approximate insole length: In some cases, we can provide the approximate inner measurement.

  • Additional notes: If the model runs particularly large or small, this will be indicated in the description.

  1. HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS AND COMPARE THEM

To minimize the risk of sizing error, we recommend the user:

  1. Choose an item of clothing from your wardrobe that fits you particularly well and is similar to the one you wish to purchase (for example, dress pants, a shirt or a dress of a similar cut).

  2. Spread it out on a flat surface and measure it following the same points described in the previous section.

  3. Compare these measurements with those provided in the product sheet of the selected item on TWOCRUSH.

If the user prefers to measure their body directly, they can follow these guidelines for reference:

  • Chest: Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of the chest, keeping it straight and without overtightening.

  • Waist: measure the circumference of the narrowest part of the torso.

  • Hips: measure the circumference of the widest part of the hips and buttocks.

It is recommended to take measurements while wearing light clothing and without outer garments that could alter the result.

  1. HOW TO INTERPRET SIZE INFORMATION ON PRODUCT DETAILS

In each item published on the Website, TWOCRUSH may include, as appropriate, one or more of the following elements:

  • Size on label: original size indicated by the brand on the garment.

  • TWOCRUSH estimated size: indicative interpretation by our team (for example, "approximately equivalent to a S / 36 EU").

  • Measurements in centimeters: actual measurements of the garment taken according to the criteria in section 3.

  • Fit notes: indications about whether the garment has a more fitted, loose, short, long, etc. cut.

The user should consider all this information together before placing their order, especially in the case of vintage garments or those with highly structured patterns.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND PERSONALIZED ADVICE

TWOCRUSH makes every effort to ensure that sizing and measurement information is as accurate as possible. However, as each garment is unique, from different origins and ages, slight variations or subjective interpretations regarding fit may occur.

The final size selection is entirely up to the user, who should consider the measurements provided and, where applicable, the size guidelines we offer. TWOCRUSH cannot guarantee that the same size will fit identically across all brands or models.

If you have any questions, please contact us through the website's contact page, specifying the garment you are interested in and providing your usual size. Our team will review the item and offer a personalized recommendation to the best of their ability.
